Preston Area Trails Association

The Preston Area Trails Association was formed in 2003, with the goal of creating trails “to create wellness, tourism, access significant landmarks and link the surrounding communities”. A number of other organizations in the Preston area have been interested in trail development over the years, including the Preston Area Board of Trade, the Mary Preston Historical Society, the East Preston Ratepayers Association and the East Preston Recreation Centre. Much of PATA’s interest has focused on the two objectives of developing trail access to the Eagle Lake lands, and creating better links between the three communities. PATA has therefore undertaken to develop an overall trails plan with both short and long‐term projects Source: Preston Area Trail Plan (PDF)
