About

A seven-minute drive from Yarmouth you will find the Black community of Greenville, which
was originally settled as Salmon River in 1820. Greenville has three cemeteries located within the community, which help to trace the history of the community and its former residents.

The African Bethel Cemetery is located on the site of the former African Bethel Church. At the Greenville Community Centre you will see artifacts and photographs from this historic community.
