Adult Learning Program - Africentric Learning Option

21 Woodlawn Road, NSCC Arkeley Campus, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia B2W 2R7, Canada
About

If you self-identify as Black/African Nova Scotian, you have the option to earn your high school diploma from an Africentric perspective through the Akerley Campus from anywhere in the province through virtual, online-synchronous, teacher-led learning.

In your first year of the program, you discuss topics such as culture, ancestry, traditions and world view. Learn about the knowledge and accomplishments of people of African ancestry and how they've influenced the world. Develop your confidence and potential by gaining exposure to African Canadian educators and mentors.

In your second year, transition into the ALP program to complete the additional credits you need to earn your high school diploma.
