Social Media Clerk/Project Researcher. Hourly Rate: $11.55/hr (30 hours per week) June 24th – August 19th, 2019 (Summer Position) Duration: 8 Weeks Duties: ● Assist in the design of the communication plan for regular meetings and focus meetings ● Assist in the development of the tools needed to gather information required for the data collection process ● Meet with artists and industry professionals throughout the African Nova Scotian communities. ● Collecting photographs/publications from African Nova Scotian musicians for research purposes. ● Re-categorize publication and books to maintain easier access and use; assist in setting up a new membership database ● Reorganize data/documents/books/photographs and assist in on-going research projects. ● Assist in updating the ANSMA web page and social media accounts (facebook, twitter, etc) ● Assist with special events; such festivals, concerts, and showcases Qualifications: Must have experience with updating website accounts and research projects. The candidate must be able to use Microsoft Office, and the internet. Candidates must be self motivated, and capable of working independently. Good written and oral communication skills are an asset. Eligibility Credentials: ● Must be a Canadian Citizen, have permanent residence, or have been granted refugee status in Canada. ● Legally entitled to work in Canada. ● Must be between the ages of 16-30 years of age at the start of employment. ● Must have successfully completed grade 12 secondary school education, or currently enrolled as a fulltime student. ● Must not have another job accumulating more than 30 hours per week.
